When I was pregnant with Aiden, I looked through baby name books. I searched the Internet. I thought about names from the moment I found out that I was pregnant. Matt really wanted to give our baby an Irish name which brought me to spending hours looking through Irish baby name websites and daydreaming about our future baby. We decided on Aiden for a boy and Kylee (spelled this way because both my mom' s and his dad's middle name is Lee) for a girl. Once we found out we were having a boy, I told everyone what his name was going to be and I started calling the baby by name when I would talk to him. Then the day Aiden was born, Matt wanted to change the name we had decided on! Needless to say, it didn't happen! Not after all that bonding...
So when we found out that we were expecting this little one, I decided I would let Matt pick out the name (unless he chose something that I absolutely couldn't stand!). Matt is an avid reader and he chose names for the baby from a couple of books that he liked. I had no idea that he was such a big fan of J.D. Salinger, but these names come from two different books by this author! So, the names are:
For a boy: Holden Thomas (Holden is from Catcher in the Rye). When we told Aiden this name, he said, "How about Percy or James?" He thought the middle name was after Thomas the train! I thought that was so funny!
For a girl: Zoey Belle (From Franny and Zooey). Matt really wants to spell this name Zooey. And I have seen it spelt like that before, but I just don't want people to call her Zoo-E. I finally made the argument this evening that Matt will hardly ever write this name and I will write it all the time. He finally said it didn't really matter to him. And I had one other issue with this name. I think it's a super cute name and it's really popular right now, but I have a bloggy friend who has a daughter named Zoey and I didn't want to be a name stealer! But Matt convinced me that it was OK. LOL
So, those are our names!

He LOVES it!
I finally got a box because he was accidentally smashing some of them when he jumped up to collect another one...
Of course, it was my job to guard the box while he was off collecting more. He gave me a little stick so I could push them back into the box when they crawled up! We ended up playing with these caterpillars for almost an hour and a half. Fun times!
1. I have my ultrasound on Friday.
2. It's now obvious that I'm pregnant. (No one has to wonder now if I'm pregnant or I've had a few too many pieces of chocolate cake!)
3. I've been feeling tons of movement. Matt actually got to feel the baby kick a week ago for the first time. (I can't wait until the kicks are more obvious so that Aiden can feel. I'm really interested in his reaction)
4. Aiden has been telling everyone that will listen that there is a baby in mommy's tummy. He has started to get really excited about having a baby and has been telling us all of the things that he is going to teach his baby!
So, it probably makes sense that I would have baby dreams too. There was a discussion on the September 2009 board on BBC about how accurate your dreams were in predicting the baby's gender. Most of them were right on! But I'm not so sure about mine...
When I was pregnant with Aiden, I dreamed about the baby frequently. However, in my dream the baby was a girl with dark wavy hair like Matt. (She was always a toddler for some reason!) So not only was my baby a boy; he also has super straight blonde hair! Well, this time my baby dreams consist of a little girl with blonde hair. It makes me wonder... Do I have a dark haired little boy in my future?! Guess I will have to wait and see!

Anyways.... Here are some 20 weeks baby bump pictures!
Aiden tried really hard to be in all of the pictures!

Since we haven't had a very fun weekend, I've decided to share some more Aiden funnies. I carry a notebook around with me just in case he says something I find funny and I jot it down. I want him to be able to look back and laugh at the things he said when he was little!
A vocabulary lesson:
I told Aiden that he was my son. He got really upset and told me that he was not my son. (He was obviously thinking sun). I tried to explain the concept of daughter and son, but he couldn't quite grasp it. I finished the conversation by saying, "So, you're my son." He said, "Don't talk to me like that! I'm not a sun, I'm a boy!"
I'm not wearing that:
Aiden is in between sizes right now. He needs a 3T in jeans for the length, but they are way too big in the waist. I just bought him a pair of 3T jeans and put them on him to wear to preschool. They were a little big and kept sliding down a bit and he would just pull them back up. Finally, at 4:30,he said, "I am not going to wear these pants all day. They have been bothering me all day long!" It cracks me up that he is talking like such a big boy!
Aiden and I were watching a Little Einstein's movie when he told me that he needed to use the potty. Normally, I pause the DVD when we leave the room, but I forgot to tonight. When we finally made it back to the living room, Aiden noticed that the movie was almost over. He said, "That one needs to be rewind, Mister!"
I'm doing what?!:
Whenever I tell Aiden to do something that he doesn't like, he says, "Mommy, you're messing up my name!" I have no idea where that came from or what exactly he means by it, but he has been saying it all the time lately!

Aiden loves the swings. He asks me to push him "really high".
And he is a really impressive climber. He can climb anything!

I let him crunch up the cookies with his hammer. He thought that was something!
He enjoyed making the snack, but didn't want to eat it. He took a bite and said that it was good but he didn't want any more. He really isn't a big chocolate fan (just like Daddy). He prefers other candy like Skittles, gummies, lollipops, and smarties (Blah!). He wouldn't even eat the gummy worms (even after I wiped them off) because they were "dirty"! No chocolate covered gummy worms for my little boy!
After snack, we were ready to do our Earth collage. We went outside and collected any nature thing that Aiden decided to put in the box. We got twigs, rocks, flowers, grass, leaves, and blossoms from trees.
I think Aiden had a pretty fun Earth Day!

Painting the water
This activity is meant to be done by two children. One is supposed to do the green and the other is supposed to do the brown. The two circles are then pressed together to make the Earth!
Aiden with his "mountain" circle and "land" circle
Pressing them together
The final product. I think they turned out pretty cute!
And look there's even one for Grandma!
